Lucille Johnson Comer , 91
PEACHLAND -- Mrs. Comer, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe.

Memorial services will be 3:00pm Sunday, August 1, 2010 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Lucille was born January 29, 1919 in Garner, NC a daughter of the late Wesley Brock Johnson and Georgia Wood Johnson. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of The Congregational Christian Church of Greensboro and was a member of Marshville Chapter 163 of the Order of the Eastern Star for 49 years, having served as Secretary for 43 years, as well as, other leadership capacities.

An avid gardener, she enjoyed her flowers and caring for her cats. Surviving are her children, Cam (Betty Jo) Comer, Jr. and Helen (Kenneth) Greene both of Peachland; her grandchildren, Tracie C. Boone, Matthew Comer and Amanda G. (Ashbey) Rodenberger; her great- granddaughter, Alyssa Boone; her sisters and brothers, Wilma Reece of Jacksonville, FL, Lois Ventura of Thomasville, GA, Sue Johnson, Sidney Johnson and Charles Johnson all of Morrisville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Comer and by her sisters, Leona and Gladys Findley and Katherine Comer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110 or to The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565.
